Until the 9th of January Moscow hosts the Journey to Christmas festival. Christmas trees, art objects, ice rinks for skating and curling will appear all over the city. A gallery of designer Christmas trees will open near the historic shopping center - TSUM. Cultural figures, artists, designers and other celebrities will decorate the trees. Christmas trees with decorations from southern Europe, India, spruces decorated with traditional Japanese images, paper lanterns, etc will be installed in 26 sites. On Tverskaya Square there will be art objects on the theme of the classical ball of the 19th century - masks and fans. Visitors will be greeted by human-sized nutcracker toys, and music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Johann Strauss will play on the square. One of the central streets will be decorated in the style of Russian fairy tales. In addition, during the days of the festival, 18 free skating and curling rinks will be opened in different parts of Moscow.
