CELEBRATION OF THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY OF MOSCOW STATE HISTORICAL MUSEUM IN 2022

The year 2022 will be marked by various cultural events, including such a significant one as 150th anniversary of the Moscow State Historical Museum. This week it became known what exhibitions the museum will prepare to honor it.

In February the museum will host an exhibition Man-Made Connection of Times. Art of jewelers of Russia, which is organized jointly with the State Fund of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of the Russian Federation of Russia.

In early April, the exhibition Russia. The roads of civilizations will open. The project Peter the Great. Journey to Europe will start in May, the exhibition is based on monuments of the era of the emperor from the funds of the State Historical Museum: personal belongings and portraits of Peter the Great and his associates, European household items of the 17th-18th centuries, costumes, weapons, furniture, rare engravings , maps and documents.

In September 2022, the exhibition Treasures of the Museums of Genoa will open. There will be exhibits from several museums of Genoa - masterpieces from the Basilica of St. Lawrence, the Museum of St. Augustine, the Strada Nuova Museum, and many others.

In early December, the State Historical Museum will present the project War and Peace in Ancient Greece. From the collection of the Pergamon Museum (Berlin) and the Historical Museum. Exhibits from two major world collections will give visitors the opportunity to get acquainted with the world of ancient art.
