All foreign tourists coming to Russia need to have a visa. A tourist visa can be obtained on the basis of a letter from MIR Travel Company registered in the consular section of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The following information should be submitted to receive visa support:
Passport number, date of birth, given name and family name, dates of entry to the territory of Russian and departure from the country, citizenship.
1. Make sure your passport is valid for at least next 6 month after your departure.
2. The invitation and voucher should be prepared in the course of 2 work days and sent to you by fax in any country of the world.
3. To obtain a visa you need to submit the Russian copy of visa permit and the necessary documents to the consulate or the embassy, whichever you prefer. The prices for issuing Russian visa and the period of processing of your request depend you citizenship and the consulate or embassy you are turning to.
Immigration form
All foreigners entering Russia need to fill out an immigration form to go through the passport control. The form is available on board of your plane. Please ask your flight assistant to help you fill out the form correctly. You should keep your immigration form and your passport during the whole period of your stay in the territory of Russia. On your departure you should prepare section B of the immigration form for passport control. On entering Russia you will have to fill out the customs declaration. The customs declaration should be filled out by all people over 16 years of age. It is allowed to bring cash in the amount of $10000 without a customs declaration.
